You'll need a modest PC/Mac/Linux box with a 128mb (min) 3d card and 1 gb of ram. Minecraft runs under Java - I recommend installing the 64-bit JRE if you're running 64-bit Windows.
All my software is virus-free. No unwanted toolbars, trojans or other nasties.
