What is yWriter?

yWriter is powerful novel-writing software which breaks your novel into chapters and scenes, helping you keep track of your work while leaving your mind free to create. It will not write your novel for you, suggest plot ideas or perform creative tasks of any kind. yWriter was designed by an author, not a salesman!

The first Windows version was released almost 20 years ago, and now a MacOS version is finally here!

You're welcome to download the alpha and let me know what you think, but please don't use it for serious work. Many features are missing, and there will almost certainly be bugs.

(Under the hood, yWriter PC/Mac/IOS and Android all share the same code, so any issues on the Mac version will mainly be related to the user interface - eg. drag-dropping a scene might move the wrong one ... that kind of thing.)
